A proud native of Miami, Florida, Regional Director Lisa Ivory joined the Greater Fort
Lauderdale Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. in 2014. Since then, she has held
numerous leadership roles, including Grade Group Sponsor, Program Director, Five-Star
Chair, Vice President, and an award-winning Chapter President. Under her leadership, the
chapter earned its fourth consecutive Five-Star Chapter of Excellence designation. Lisa
was named Chapter Mother of the Year in 2019 and received the Southeastern Region
MOMentous Membership MOM Award in 2021 for her outstanding contributions to member engagement and
experience.
At both the regional and national levels, RD Lisa has consistently demonstrated her dedication to service and collaboration. She served as a Chapter Program Handbook Reviewer for three years and has held key committee leadership roles, including Chair of the 2017 Tellers Committee, Chair of the 2021 Time and Place Committee, and Chair of the 2024 National Convention Timekeepers Committee and Regional Membership Chair. She is also a proud 2024 graduate of the Marion Stubbs Thomas National Leadership Academy.
Professionally, Lisa Ivory is the CEO of The Ivory Group, a certified minority- and woman-owned enterprise. A respected leader and advocate for equity, she has served on the boards of the Florida Juvenile Justice Foundation, the Charlie B. Levy Foundation, and JackieTrust—a nonprofit committed to empowering children of color to build investment portfolios before adulthood. Lisa’s impact in business and community service has earned her wide recognition, including being named one of South Florida’s Most Influential Business Leaders and by Legacy Magazine.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Fort Valley State University and a Master of Public Policy from Florida A&M University. She is a 32-year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and an active member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She resides in Miramar, Florida, and is the proud parent of two sons, Landon (22) and Dylan (16) along with their beloved fur baby, Marshall. In her free time, Lisa enjoys traveling, reading, relaxing, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family.

Darlene Whittington
28th National President
On July 27, 2024, Darlene Whittington became the 28th National President of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. at the 46th National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to being elected as National President, she served as the 2021-2023 Regional Director of the Southeastern Region and Southeastern Region Member-at-Large 2019-2021.
Darlene came into Jack and Jill as the Organizer and Chartering President of the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter (GMAC) of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Under her leadership, GMAC became the first chapter of Jack and Jill to attain the designation of 5 Star Chapter of Excellence. She has subsequently served GMAC as Parliamentarian and two-time Co-Chair of the chapter’s signature Leadership Program and Debutante Cotillion. Darlene was also chosen to participate in both the 3rd and 5th Biennial Marion Stubbs Thomas Leadership Academy.
In her progressive leadership journey, she successfully served a 4-year appointment as the Southeastern Region Program Chair, overseeing the region’s Book Club program, Pen Pal program, oratorical competitions, six annual Children’s Cluster meetings, and the annual regional family trip. Darlene has also served as the Southeastern Region representative to the National Policies and Procedures Committee, as Regional Technology Chair, and for two terms as the Regional Editor. In 2019, she was elected as the Member-at-Large (MAL) and the region’s representative to the National Board of Trustees of the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, where she served as the MAL Liaison holding a seat as the only MAL on the Foundation’s executive board. Significantly, Darlene chaired the Steering Committee and served as host Regional Director for Jack and Jill of America’s wildly successful 45th National Convention in Orlando, Florida. During her administration, Darlene safely and successfully transitioned the Southeastern Region out of the pandemic from primarily virtual programming back to initiatives and regional meetings live and in-person. Darlene is proud to have reinitiated the coveted Southeastern Region President of the Year and Southeastern Region Chapter of the Year Awards. She also conceptualized and implemented two special regional projects. One of them being the Southeastern Region State License Plate project, resulting in the state of Mississippi being the first state nationwide to secure a Jack and Jill of America, Inc. license plate. The other project being the Southeastern Region History/Coffee Table Book project.
Darlene is a graduate of Spelman College holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry as well as a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from Vanderbilt University. She has had an award-winning 24-year career in pharmaceutical sales and marketing and currently serves as a Therapeutic Area Manager in Hematology for Genmab Pharmaceuticals.
Darlene has served in various leadership roles within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Nu Lambda Omega Chapter, Atlanta GA), and as a board member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter). Darlene is also an active member of The Links, Incorporated (Atlanta Chapter, VP of Membership), and the Parents’ Circle of Atlanta Girls’ School. She and her family are active members of the Buckhead Church in Atlanta. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, traveling, photography, crafting, and spending time with her husband Delmar, and daughter Skylar (15).

Shannon Chambers is a distinguished member of the Columbus, Georgia Chapter of
Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where she has served with unwavering commitment since
her induction in 2014. Her leadership spans local, regional, and national levels, including
roles such as: 2025-2027Southeastern Regional Treasurer, National Chair for Growing
Strategically and New Chapter Establishment, Southeastern Region Representative for
the National Legislative Committee and Regional Legislative Chair, Regional Program
Committee Member for six years where she served as Co-Chair for two, and numerous
other regional roles including Chair for the Evaluations Committee, Chair for the Rules
and Regulations Committee, Regional Super Cluster/Cluster Chair, Regional Stock
Market Exchange Challenge Chair, Regional Book Club Lead, and Sergeant-At-Arms for
National Convention.
Locally, Shannon has held nearly every key position imaginable—from Treasurer, Budget/Finance Committee Chair, Program Director, Assistant Program Director, Grade Group Lead, Step Team Coach, Super Cluster Chair, Five Star Excellence Board Committee, Membership Committee, Oratorical Chair, Beautillion Ball Chair, Foundation Committee, and Community Service Committee. Her dedication earned her the honor of Mother of the Year in 2018.
Academically, Shannon is a triple-threat scholar. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Finance), a Master of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Nursing, and a Doctor of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Professionally, she serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Chambers Health Group, LLC, balancing executive leadership with a deep commitment to community service. She volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, Ronald MacDonald House, and the Alzheimer’s Association. She is also a member of the Columbus Fort Benning Medical Society, National Council of Negro Women, Urban League, The Columbus (GA) Chapter of The Links, Inc., and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Shannon is married to Dr. Wesley Chambers and is the proud mother of three children: John (Morehouse College alumnus), Jada, and Kyle. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, shopping, and traveling.

Sha’Ronda McRae is a dedicated member of the East Suburban Atlanta Chapter, Georgia, Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where she has served with sisterly smile and spirit of service since becoming a member in 2016. Her leadership roles have allowed her to serve on the local, and regional levels, including her most recent role as: 2025-2027 Southeastern Regional Secretary, and the SER Chief of Staff. From 2021-2025, she served as the Chapter President, and numerous other regional roles including Chair of the Regional Stock Market Exchange.

Currently, she is the English Language Arts /World Languages Coordinator for Rockdale County Public Schools where she works to promote literacy and world class education. She provides support to leaders, teachers, families and students. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in English, she pursued her Masters of Teaching in Secondary Education at Hampton University, and earned her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Regent University.

Regional Foundation Member-at-large, Leila Jerome Clay is a devoted servant leader. She
has been a proud member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. since 2015, serving in multiple
roles including recording secretary, age group chair, junior teen co-chair, foundation co-
chair, and regional nominating committee member. Originally initiated in the Augusta
Chapter, MAL Leila served on many leadership levels including age group chair,
membership committee member, sponsorship committee member and recording
secretary. She later joined the four-time Five-Star Greater Tampa Chapter and is the
immediate past Vice President. She also has served on most of the committees like
programming, budget and finance and sponsorship service as the co-chair for their
inaugural fundraiser Tutus and Tennis shoes. MAL Leila has also served nationally as
Southeastern Region Sponsorship Chair, National Sponsorship Co-Chair, and Strategic
Partnerships Committee Member. She recently served as Regional Protocol Chair on the
National Protocol Committee.
Professionally, Dr. Clay is a physician scientist. She is the Medical Director for Hemoglobinopathies in Medical Affairs (Clinical Medical and Regulatory) at Novo Nordisk. She previously held the role of International Medical Director for Rare Diseases and Advanced Therapies in Clinical Drug Development. A dedicated lifespan hematologist, Dr. Clay has led numerous research initiatives in sickle cell disease, with a particular focus on the role of vitamin D deficiency in disease progression and bone health. Her professional mission is to translate research discoveries into improved clinical care, especially for adolescents and young adults living with sickle cell disease and other blood disorders.
Before transitioning to industry, Dr. Clay was the Director of the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease Program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH), where she also served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She additionally held leadership roles as Associate Director of the Program for Health Equity’s Research and as Division Chief of Hematology at the Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute until 2021. She also previously had the role of Assistant professor and Sickle Cell Transition Program Director at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.
Dr. Clay earned her bachelor’s degree in physical Anthropology from New York University and her Medical Degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she developed a specialized focus on lifespan sickle cell care. She also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Science from Augusta University and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications advancing the understanding of sickle cell disease. Her dedication has been recognized with multiple awards including 2010 Humanism Award at Rutgers Medical School (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey), the 2019 Johns Hopkins All Children’s Award for Excellence in Service and Professionalism and a 2021 nomination for Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Physician of the Year.
